Your Vacation Should Feel Exciting Before You Ever Leave Home
Planning a vacation should give you something to look forward to — not leave you overwhelmed by hundreds of choices, conflicting advice, endless tabs, and the feeling that you might be missing something important.
That is where I come in.
I’m Brady Mynaugh, Travel Advisor with Discover the Magic Vacations, and I help families, couples, groups, first-time travelers, and experienced vacationers plan trips that make sense for the way they actually want to travel.
My role is not simply to find you a reservation.
It is to help you understand your options, narrow them down, avoid unnecessary mistakes, and build a vacation around your priorities, budget, travel style, and expectations.
Whether you are considering a cruise, Disney vacation, all-inclusive resort, Alaska adventure, European river cruise, honeymoon, family getaway, or somewhere completely new, I help turn the possibilities into a plan.
You Don’t Need More Options. You Need the Right Options.
One of the biggest challenges in travel today is not finding choices.
It is figuring out which choices are actually right for you.
Two cruises can visit similar destinations and still offer completely different experiences.
Two resorts in the same destination can appeal to very different travelers.
A less expensive stateroom may be the smartest choice for one family, while a balcony may completely change the experience for another.
A cruise from Florida may offer more ships, but a sailing from Baltimore, Norfolk, Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey, Galveston, or another regional port could save you the cost, time, and stress of flying.
Those are the details I help you think through.
Instead of simply asking, “What is the cheapest option?” I look at the bigger picture:
What experience are you hoping for?
Who is traveling?
How important are the ship, resort, room, itinerary, dining, activities, and destination?
What expenses exist beyond the advertised price?
Would paying a little more in one area improve the entire trip?
Could a different date, departure port, ship, resort, or room category give you better overall value?
Good vacation planning is about more than finding a price.
It is about finding the right fit.
Travel Planning Built Around You
Every trip starts differently.
Some clients come to me knowing the exact ship, resort, sailing date, or destination they want.
Others know they want to take a vacation but have no idea where to begin.
Both are completely normal.
Before I start recommending options, I want to understand what matters to you.
Maybe you are traveling with children and want a cruise ship with plenty for them to do.
Maybe you are planning a honeymoon or anniversary and want something quieter and more relaxing.
Maybe the itinerary matters more to you than the ship.
Maybe you want to experience Alaska for the first time.
Maybe you want Disney magic without spending every day in a theme park.
Maybe you are trying to keep the entire vacation within a specific budget.
Maybe convenience matters most, and you would rather drive to your cruise than fly.
The better I understand the experience you want, the better I can help you narrow down the options.
You do not need to have everything figured out before contacting me.
Helping you figure it out is part of the service.
Vacations I Help Plan
Cruise Vacations
Cruising is one of my primary areas of focus.
I help clients compare cruise lines, ships, itineraries, departure ports, destinations, stateroom categories, onboard experiences, and available pricing.
Cruise lines I work with include:
Royal Caribbean
Carnival Cruise Line
Norwegian Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line
MSC Cruises
Celebrity Cruises
Virgin Voyages
Viking River Cruises
Viking Ocean Cruises
Margaritaville at Sea
Princess Cruises
And additional cruise lines and vacation partners
Choosing a cruise is about much more than choosing a destination.
The ship itself can be a major part of the vacation.
I can help you think through questions such as:
Is this ship a good fit for children, couples, adults, or a multigenerational family?
Is the itinerary port-intensive or does it offer more time to enjoy the ship?
Is an interior cabin enough, or would you get real value from upgrading?
Is the dining style a good match for you?
Will you need to fly, stay in a hotel, arrange transportation, or pay for parking?
Would another departure port lower the total cost of the vacation?
Those details matter, especially when you are comparing cruises that may look similar at first glance.
Disney Vacations
I help families plan Walt Disney World Resort vacations and Disney Cruise Line sailings.
That can include helping you compare resort options, vacation packages, cruise itineraries, ships, stateroom categories, transportation choices, and the many smaller planning decisions that can make a Disney vacation easier.
Disney vacations can have a lot of moving pieces.
My job is to help make those pieces easier to understand.
Alaska Vacations
Alaska is one of those destinations where the itinerary can matter just as much as the ship.
Cruise line, departure port, glacier viewing, port times, excursions, pre- or post-cruise travel, and whether you want to add a land portion can all change the experience.
I help clients compare those differences instead of treating every Alaska cruise as if it were the same.
Viking River and Ocean Cruises
For travelers interested in seeing more of Europe and other destinations without constantly packing and unpacking, Viking River and Ocean cruises can offer a very different style of travel.
I can help compare itineraries, ships, cabin categories, dates, extensions, airfare options, and the overall structure of the trip.
All-Inclusive Resorts
I also help plan all-inclusive vacations throughout Mexico, the Caribbean, and other popular resort destinations.
The right resort depends heavily on who is traveling and what type of atmosphere you want.
Adults-only and family-friendly resorts can feel completely different.
Some travelers care most about the beach.
Others prioritize food, pools, activities, nightlife, room quality, or simply having a quiet place to relax.
My goal is to help match you with a property that fits your version of a great vacation.
Honeymoons, Anniversaries, and Couples Getaways
A romantic trip does not have to follow one formula.
It might be an adults-only resort, a Caribbean cruise, Disney honeymoon, European river cruise, ocean voyage, or something completely different.
I help couples compare the experience, not just the destination.
Family and Group Travel
Travel becomes more complicated when multiple people are involved.
Different budgets, room needs, schedules, ages, and expectations can quickly make planning difficult.
Whether you are planning for one family or a larger group, I can help organize the available options and make the process easier to manage.
More Than Clicking “Book”
Anyone can search for a vacation online.
The value of working with a Travel Advisor is having someone help you understand what you are looking at.
Sometimes that means explaining why two seemingly similar cruises are priced very differently.
Sometimes it means comparing an interior cabin with an oceanview or balcony.
Sometimes it means pointing out that a lower cruise fare could become more expensive once airfare, hotels, transportation, and other costs are added.
Sometimes it means recognizing that a different ship or departure port may be a better match.
Sometimes it means helping you avoid paying for an upgrade that probably will not matter to you.
And sometimes it means asking a question you had not thought to ask yet.
The goal is not to make every decision for you.
The goal is to give you better information so you can make decisions you feel comfortable with.
I Look at the Whole Vacation
One of the most important parts of my planning process is looking beyond the headline price.
A cruise fare or resort package is only one part of the trip.
Depending on the vacation, I may also help you think about:
Airfare
Pre- or post-cruise hotels
Transportation
Cruise parking
Port location
Travel insurance
Room or stateroom category
Dining options
Shore excursions
Resort transfers
Onboard expenses
Length of travel
Convenience
Overall vacation value
A slightly higher base price can sometimes lead to a less expensive or much easier vacation overall.
That is why I believe travel should be compared as a complete experience — not simply by whichever number appears first on a website.
Customer Service Matters
I bring more than two years of professional travel-planning experience along with many years of customer-service experience.
That background influences the way I work with every client.
I value clear communication, patience, professionalism, kindness, organization, and attention to detail.
Travel is exciting, but it can also involve a significant investment of money and time.
For many families, a major vacation may be something they have planned and saved for over months or even years.
I take that responsibility seriously.
You are not simply purchasing a confirmation number.
You may be planning a family memory, honeymoon, anniversary, milestone birthday, first cruise, dream trip to Alaska, or vacation you have talked about for years.
The details matter.
You Stay in Control of Your Vacation
I am here to advise, explain, research, organize, and help.
You always make the final decisions.
I want you to understand what you are booking and why it makes sense for your trip.
There is never one perfect vacation for everyone.
The goal is to find the vacation that works for you.

Based in Maryland. Helping Travelers Nationwide.
Discover the Magic Vacations by Brady Mynaugh is based in Maryland, and I work with travelers throughout the United States.
Being located in the Mid-Atlantic has also given me a strong appreciation for cruise options that do not automatically require flying to Florida.
Depending on the season and itinerary, travelers may find options departing from ports such as:
Baltimore
Norfolk
Philadelphia
Cape Liberty/Bayonne
New York City
And other cruise ports around the country
For some travelers, driving to a cruise can dramatically change the cost and convenience of the vacation.
For others, flying to another port gives them access to the ship or itinerary they really want.
Neither option is automatically better.
It depends on the trip.
That is exactly the kind of comparison I enjoy helping clients make.
Your Vacation Should Fit You
Maybe your ideal vacation is watching your children walk down Main Street, U.S.A. for the first time.
Maybe it is waking up on a cruise ship and opening the curtains to see Alaska outside your window.
Maybe it is sailing from a port close enough to drive to.
Maybe it is unpacking once and exploring several European cities.
Maybe it is sitting beside a Caribbean beach with absolutely nowhere you need to be.
Maybe you already know exactly what you want.
Or maybe all you know is:
“I need a vacation.”
That is enough to get started.
You bring me the idea.
I will help you work through the details.
Because the right vacation should not simply look good in a search result.
It should make sense for you.
